Writing and Performance for Teens
David created and led the Schools On Stage artist residency program for the Guthrie Theater from 1998-2018.

In its 20-year history, Schools On Stage impacted hundreds of high school students in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Using David's curriculum, teams of Guthrie Teaching Artists worked with teens to create original performance pieces that the students performed on the Guthrie stage.
David created the program to give high school students a forum of expression for their creative voices. Centered on themes in Shakespeare, the students told their own stories with words, movement, and music.
